Losing Weight Vs Losing Fat

If you think that getting the body you’ve always wanted is all about losing weight, think again.

Too many diet programs focus on weight loss. But weight includes a lot of other things apart from the loss of dangerous fat. When we step on the scales, they aren’t telling us how much body fat we have. The scales give us the combined weight of fat, muscle, bone, water, tissue, organs, haor, skin, clothing, and whether you might want to visit the toilet…

We have no way of knowing when we step onto scales if we have melted into our fat stores, or wasted our muscles away, or managed to retain water, or all of the above. If you just simply want to lose weight as fast as possible, then saw off a limb, or two. You’ll weigh a lot less.

But you get my point, it’s the fat we need to lose to be healthy. So just what is an accurate measurement of fat loss. Well probably the pinch test with calipers. The bigger a pinch you get the more body fat you are carrying. Measuring is also a very good indicator. You can buy calipers to use at home, but you’ll need a good fat burning eating plan and workout program to go with them.

Weight is really not the key issue with fat loss. Think about these points:

  •  If your body had almost no fat, and was hard, lean , muscles, would it really matter how much the scales said you weighed?
  • If you could wear anything you wanted and look fabulous because your body was made up of firm, lean muscle, would you care how the scales said you weighed?
  • If you could go to the beach wearing next to nothing and know your body was at it best, would it matter what the scales said you weighed?
  • If you were proud knowing everyone in the room was looking at you because you looked lean, trim and healthy, would you be worrying over how heavy the scales said you were?
  • If your stomach was flat, firm, and you had as much defined six pack as you chose, would you really think about the weight your scales said you were?

The point I’m trying to make is that, if you want your body to be the best it can be, if you want to be vibrantly healthy, if you want to turn heads because you have a killer six pack, or perfectly flat stomach, then focus on getting rid of the fat as fast as possible today!

Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle

Many people think that losing weight and getting fit are one and the same. But this isn’t necessarily true. Sure, burning fat is the objective for both. But the methods and foods needed to lose a large amount of weight are slightly different from those used to get an ultra lean body and build muscle.

Think about what your main objective is. If you have a lot of weight to lose, then do that before you work on sculpting muscle. If you have a lesser amount to lose and are aiming for a cut body with six pack abs, work on that in a slightly different manner. The foods needed to build good muscle while burning off fat are eaten in a slightly different manner and at certain times.

For both you will be increasing the times you eat over the period of the day, with real metabolism boosting foods. Plus you’ll get exercises that are varied for each one. Walking is the best activity to do while losing a large amount of weight. It is low impact, and it doesn’t build your hunger like strenuous activity. More incedental movement throughout the course of the day is also the aim with weight loss. Even done in 10 minute lots, exercise is fabulous for the body. We can even include shopping in that!

If you are looking for fat burning to get a sculpted, lean body you have to read this eBook BURN THE FAT, FEED THE MUSCLE by author and body builder Tom Venuto. Since 2003 this best selling book and Tom’s fat burning methods with real food has changed the lives of millions.

Fat Burning Secrets

It really isn’t your fault that you might not have achieved the weight loss you want or the look you’d like. The majority of the weight loss industry “secrets” are misleading, and impossible to maintain forever.

There is a lot of hype about low carb diets, fat burning foods, and how often you should train.I actually believe the tide is turning as people become more educated about how the body works.

It simply doesn’t make sense that if Western countries are the largest consumers of dairy foods, then why are we also leading the race in osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis? If people are following the healthy food pyramid and using grains and grain based foods in the majority of their eating habits, why are our nations getting fatter?

Increasingly these are the questions being asked by those who truly care about overweight people. Yes, there are still plenty of pills, potions, and powders that are heralded as the next weight loss miracle. But those of us who have tried many of these systems simply know that they don’t work. Not for the long term, and not for everyday living.

I don’t know about you, but I wanted to enjoy life while I lost weight. These extreme diets do nothing but make money for people. The sellers count on them failing so they can sell us the next product. They just don’t work and never will. All they do is give our esteem a battering, build up our guilt, and make us hate our bodies even more.

So what does work? I’ll tell you what works, and there is a few good programs offering a similar theory on how to eat more to lose weight. Which one suits you best is something only you can decide. The one I’m using is Bodytrim. This is available in Australia, and the UK. I think the USA as well but you’d need to contact their support to see what shipping would be.

Bodytrim is not a digital product, they ship it out in a box. But it does work, and it uses the hunter gatherer theory of protein rich foods combined with plot of high fiber carbs, while limiting those carbs that are not so good for us on a regular basis. Eating smaller portions more often kicks the metabolism into gear and without a lot of carbs that digest quickly, and burn off first in energy, the body goes for the fat stores.

I’ve lost 12kg in 8 weeks and I still have a lot more to go, but Bodytrim is working for me and I have changed my eating habits for life. There is also a support forum which is worth it’s weight in gold. This program has helped hundreds of thousands of people lose weight worldwide.

Speedy Metabolism

Those who seriously want to lose weight permanently are looking for an answer. A long term answer and not a temporaray one that is impossible to maintain. The answer is in the metabolism and how it works.

What is a Metabolism

The metabolism is the the rate at which your body burns energy. If you want to lose weight you need to speed up your metabolism. There are many pills and powders on the market that say they do this. But what if you could do it with everyday foods?

Eating Burns Calories

The very act of eating speeds up your metabolism. Likewise skipping meals will slow it. The body takes a dim view of you not eating regularily, and decides to store fat. But it’s not that hard to kick it back into burning again.

Fat Burning Foods

These do exist, there are actually foods that take more energy to digest than is contained in them. But simply eating truckloads of these won’t help you lose weight. You need to feed your body in the right manner and on a regular basis. Also you need to shake up the pattern a little now and again, so your body does not find a comfort zone to slip into. This is why the leading healthy weight loss programs never want you to replace meals with shakes, or pills. They are also advocating a ‘free’  day to eat whatever you choose.

If You Want To Lose Weight Permanently

You need a lifestyle change, and a program that will help you change eating habits for a life time. You’ll even learn why certain foods react the way they do. Getting to know your body and realizing food is not the enemy is an important step in your recovery from being overweight.

Lose weight for good, and look great

Don’t fall for the next lose weight overnight scheme. Those smaller jeans and better fitness are waiting for you. You just have to Eat Your Way Thin
